Meet Brandon Sampson

He is the President of the Los Angeles high school football officiating unit, recently graduated with his Early Childhood bachelor’s degree, and raising two young sons with his wife. He started officiating in his early 20s. Sampson’s spouse talks openly about how many stressful demands are placed on her due to his officiating; for example, him not being there to celebrate their son’s birthday because he is attending an officiating camp in Texas. However, if he does advance to Division I additional responsibilities will increase drastically with higher-level games, traveling schedules while learning new rules and mechanics. This intensity will not only impact him, but everyone in his family will need to make additional sacrifices.
